The Lakota East Ladyhawks Wrestling Program enters its third year with strong momentum and a dedicated group of athletes committed to elevating the standard of excellence. With 11 returning varsity wrestlers, the Ladyhawks look to build on last year’s impressive accomplishments, which included a 9th-place finish at the Individual State Tournament, 8th place in the Team Duals, and capturing the title of Sectional Tournament Champions.
This year’s team brings a deep sense of pride, focus, and determination. The Ladyhawks are driven by the desire to improve on last season’s achievements and continue solidifying their presence among the state’s top programs. Currently ranked 13th in Ohio, the team is poised to climb even higher as the season progresses.
All eyes will be on returning State Champion Cam Gresham, whose dynamic style and competitive fire set the tone for the entire room. She enters the season prepared to defend her title and continue representing Lakota East at the highest level.
Joining her is Makirah Hall, a 2024 State Qualifier whose offseason commitment and rapid development position her as a strong contender to earn a spot on the state podium this year.
In addition, several upperclassmen return with the experience and drive needed to make a significant impact. Juniors Corinna Sowah and Sammy Fritzsche, along with seniors Jorja Lunkenheimer and Scarlett Frentzel, look to make their mark on the season as they build on their strong performances from the 2024–25 campaign. Their leadership and continued growth add depth and competitiveness across the lineup.
Across the roster, this group of young women embodies the spirit of the Ladyhawks: resilience, work ethic, unity, and the drive to represent Lakota East with pride. With experienced leadership, emerging talent, and a culture built on growth, the Ladyhawks are ready to make the 2025-2026 season their strongest yet.
