The Baseball staff is very excited about the 2023 season that is fast approaching. This year’s team has 4 returning position player starters from the 2022 which finished in 3rd place in the GMC. We have good balance between returning starters and talented newcomers, which gives us a good deal of confidence as we begin the 2023 season.
Pitching is always the key to the success of any season and we have a great deal of talent at that position. The Thunderhawks have a very talented Pitching staff. This group includes: Returning Pitchers Carson French (Cincinnati Commit), Danny Sergent (Ohio Northern Commit, Drew Tower(Wilmington Commit), Ethan Gagliardo(Miami Middletown Commit) and Connor Munro. The newcomers bring a wealth of talent and depth. They are Michael Rothchild, Diego Sergent, Will Lewis, Cy Hines, Jack Hetterich and Carson Bender are all capable and battling for innings. This Pitching depth and talent could make the Thunderhawks serious contenders in the Greater Miami Conference.
The offensive and defensive projection is very encouraging with the returning infield starters Sam Pennix, Braeden Fry and Drew Tower and returners Liam Bonfield,.along with talented newcomers Cooper Helton, Bobby Horseman, Connor Klemm, Cayle Reichow and Gianni Lora. In the Outfield we have newcomers Donovan Corbett and returners Wyatt Kleinmann and Ethan Gagliardo. The Thunderhawks return Dylan Rieck and added Tyler Hall to give depth and talent at the Catching position
Every season and team is different and we are very excited about the talent and depth on this team. They are a very close group and have very good leadership. We are looking forward to all the challenges that the GMC provides and playing some great baseball this spring.
