2026 Season Outlook 

The Lakota East Thunderhawks enter the 2026 season under head coach

Steven Burkhardt, who is in his 8th year leading the program. Following a successful 2025 campaign that saw the team finish with a 13-8 record and reach the State Regional Semifinals, the Thunderhawks return a core group of senior leaders and experienced underclassmen.

2026 Coaching Staff

The staff features a mix of veteran leadership and returning alumni:

· Head Coach: Steven Burkhardt (8th Season).

· Varsity Offensive Coach: Tyler Chalk '18 (Former East player).

· JV Coaching Staff: Ben Domina '21(Former East player) and Michael Addai (Mount Saint Joe graduate).

2026 Varsity Schedule Highlights

The Thunderhawks face a challenging schedule featuring several Greater Miami Conference (GMC) matchups and regional rivals. You can view the full schedule on the Lakota East Athletics website. · Season Opener: March 13 at Loveland High School (7:15 PM).

· Home Opener: March 19 vs. Mariemont (7:15 PM).

· The Trophy Game: April 14 vs. Lakota West (7:15 PM).

· Senior Night / Final Home Game: Mapril 28 vs. Oak Hills (7:15 PM).

· OHSAA Postseason: First round begins May 15, 202
